Solar Eclipse in Ibiza 2026 - Live Stream & Preparations for 12 August

On 12 August 2026, Ibiza will experience a truly extraordinary natural spectacle: a total solar eclipse, visible over the Balearic Islands shortly before sunset.

Ibiza will be one of the most spectacular places to experience this rare event. With the sun sitting low on the horizon, the Mediterranean Sea and Ibiza's unique evening light, the eclipse promises to create some truly unforgettable views.

Testing our solar eclipse live stream in Ibiza

To make sure everything works perfectly on 12 August, we have already carried out our first live-stream test here in Ibiza.

Why the solar eclipse in Ibiza will be so special

The total solar eclipse will take place during the evening of 12 August 2026. By this time, the sun will already be very low above Ibiza's western horizon.

And that is exactly what makes this event so exceptional: the eclipsed sun will appear just above the Mediterranean shortly before sunset.

Anyone planning to watch the eclipse should therefore choose a location with a clear, unobstructed view towards the west. Ibiza's west coast and elevated viewpoints will be particularly well positioned for this unique spectacle.
