Cities & Villages
Ibiza's diversity is reflected in its cities, villages, and municipalities. Visit Eivissa with its historic old town, Sant Josep for beaches & nature, Sant Antoni for vibrant nightlife, Santa Eulària with its relaxed atmosphere, or Sant Joan, which offers rural idyll. Each region has its unique charm.
Cities, Villages & Municipalities
Tips for Harmonious Coexistence in Ibiza. By following these simple rules, you contribute to a peaceful environment and can enjoy the beauty of Ibiza in a relaxed manner.
Clothing - Show Respect
Outside of beaches and pools, swimwear is not appropriate for the streets. Even on a holiday island like Ibiza, proper attire is important. Summer fashion offers many opportunities to dress stylishly and casually. Particularly in supermarkets and stores, it’s important: never appear in swimwear - not only out of respect but also for hygienic reasons.
Traffic Rules - Stay Safe
The alcohol limit is 0.5‰ - violations can result in driving bans and fines. Towing with private vehicles is prohibited and can be costly. In roundabouts: the driver in the outer lane has the right of way. Yellow curbs mean no parking; blue-marked areas require parking fees. Parking meters indicate the direction in which to pay. Motorcycles can no longer be parked on sidewalks - penalties apply here as well.
Smoking - Be Mindful
Discarded cigarette butts, lighters, or matches can cause dangerous fires. Smoking has been banned in many bars and restaurants since 2006. Make sure to check where smoking is allowed to avoid misunderstandings and be considerate of others.
